Policy Statement


In our setting fees are set at a level which reflects the safe and stimulating environment which is provided for the children and to ensure that our high-quality teaching standards are sustained. Our fees are currently set at the rate below in order to maintain sustainability; quality of care prices, to pay staff according to their qualifications and experience and to meet rising costs of services. Should it be deemed necessary to increase the fees you will be given a half terms notice. We are committed to equal opportunities for everyone ensuring it is accessible to all families in the community. Parents and carers are asked to respect the policy in relation to charging procedures.

The Visitation Pre-School is a non-profit making organisation.

Fees


Fees for paying families is £20 for a 3 hour session. Full day care (6 hour 15mins) is £45 per day. These fees apply to children of the age of 2 and 3 years old until the term after their 3rd birthday when they become eligible for the nursery education grant.

2-Year-Old Funding


If your family is in the receipt of certain benefits, you may be entitled to claim free childcare funding for your 2 years old.

For families receiving the 2 years old funding for 15 hours per week we ask for a voluntary contribution at £1.20 per week - 24p a day.

Nursery Education Grant


Families receiving 15 hours universal NEG funding for their early education is a free entitlement. However, the pre-school is charging £8 per session for additional services which include; admin, resources, toiletries and a healthy snack.

You can opt out of these additional charges if a "free" place is available, we are limited to a maximum of 3 places. If there are no "free" places available we are happy to place you on our waiting list.

Children receiving additional funding (30hours) 3 and 4 years olds, there is a charge of £12.50 per day, which includes additional services plus lunch cover.

Additional support for fees


Parents are advised that they may be eligible for; Childcare voucher schemes- operated by employers these allow a tax efficient way of paying for the non-funded element of childcare. Parents should ask their employer if this is available.

Notice Period


In the event of you wishing to withdraw you child from the setting or reduce sessions 4 weeks’ notice in writing will be required.

Payment of fees


Fees are to be paid in advance and put in an envelope clearly marked with your child's name and amount enclosed. These can be paid weekly, monthly or termly. In cash, bank transfer or cheque made out to 'The Visitation Pre-School.

A receipt for all fees paid will be given to you at the end of the session.

Fees are to be paid irrespective of illness or absence.

Wraparound

The Visitation Pre-School offer Wraparound Care service for children attending Our Lady of the Visitation Nursery

The Visitation Pre-school is a non-profit school so has had to limit the number of places available for the Government 30-hour scheme. In partnership with Our Lady of the Visitation Nursery you will be able to access your additional 15 hours with the Pre-school. The Government funding is to cover the basic delivery of early education and care only. With your agreement, we are allowed to charge for additional services, collection and drop-off, lunch cover, resources, toiletries, admin and a healthy snack. As in line with our Fee’s policy.

Once you have obtained your code and there is availablity you will be required to sign a parent contract and complete a registration pack. A minium of Two days to be taken. The Pre-school maintains a strong patnership with OLOV Nursery and shares each childs developmental records and next steps with the nursery teacher.

Children are provided with stimulating activites following a curriculm linked to the EYFS Framwork (Early Years Foundtion Stage). We run a Keyworker system where your child will be allocated a Keyperson who will carry out observations and set next steps for your childs learning development which will be recorded in their learning journal. At the end of the school year they will be able to take these home.

Please advise what date your child will start with us when you apply.

If you wish your child to change into or from their school uniform, please ensure their clothes and bags are clearly labelled with your child’s name. We will be happy to change them.
